Personal Trainer and Exercise Scientist
Nick has an infectious positive attitude and is enthusiastic about each client’s success.
As an exercise scientist, his passion lies across all aspects of health and wellness, but Nick takes a particular interest in weight loss, strength and conditioning and nutrition that will maximise his client’s exercise performance and accelerate their goals.
What is your training style?
I adapt my style based on what the client is aiming to achieve. Some people like lifting heavy weights for strength, others prefer more of a cardio-based workout, and some need exercise to fix bad posture and correct muscle imbalances and weaknesses.
I use resistance training as my foundation, but it’s the client’s goals that dictate how the program is structured. I use a methodical approach to always push past limits with my clients and make constant progress.
What can we expect in a training session with you?
Everything I do with a client has a purpose. After the initial consultation, I create a workout routine based on the client’s goals. Training always starts with a steady warm up, this is usually just a 5 minute walk on the treadmill to get your heart rate up and prepare the body for exercise.
I will then refer to the program which dictates what we are working on for the session. The performance of each workout is tracked, and my goal with the client is to always beat our efforts from the prior session, this keeps them motivated as they can see a steady increase in performance over time.
Why are you a personal trainer?
I’ve always had a passion for health and fitness, for both its physical and mental benefits. It’s rewarding that I can now use my expertise to help others and be a positive influence.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy the outdoors a lot. I like nature walks, fishing, camping. I try to connect with the earth and get away from the modern digital world.
Outside of the gym, where is your happy place?
As an Italian, I love everything food. my happy place is definitely in the kitchen cooking.
